Bristol’s OLO Worms are one of my favourites from the Fence collective and while we’re still awaiting release details of their debut album, a solo single from one of their members has now appeared and rather nice it is too.
Delifinger is the chosen alias and this track forms part of the “Escape EP”, released on the 19th of April as part of the Fence Chart Ruse.
And while we’re at it – let’s have some OLO Wormage.
I feel rough. Rough as a badgers. That rough. Thankfully I have a day off work to attempt to remove my head from my arse and put some thought into why it seemed a good idea to start drinking at 1pm yesterday.

I wonder if it’s just that I’m getting old. It probably is, nostalgia tends to come with a free pair of rose tinted glasses, but the line up for this year’s T in the Park just makes me put my head in my hands and go “whit….the…”.
Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs, Temper Trap, Elbow, James Morrison, The Vaccines, Two Door Cinema Club….it’s all rather depressingly bland. Even the newer acts on the line up are disappointing – Nikki Minaj, give me a break, Skrillex, oooft, seriously?
There is the odd diamond shining through in the shape of Major Lazer, Sven Vath, Mastodon and a few others but it doesn’t really compete with the line up of festivals such as Bestival. Django Django aren’t even on the T line up and EVERYONE IN THE WORLD likes Django Django.
And I mean Bestival have Inner City. Say no more. Maybe I’m just getting too old. Pipe n slippers please.
Well apparently there’s a bit of mystery around letthemusicplay and their identity remains shrouded in secrecy. From the above logo, I reckon an owl is involved somewhere.
Regardless, this remix from the mighty 2 Bears is straight up house goodness and even features some cowbell. Can’t be knocking that.
The Hit The Decks series from 1992 showcased the biggest hardcore, rave, breakbeat etc tunes at the time and while the first and second volumes were put together by relative unknowns, for the third volume they rolled in the big guns.
Carl Cox, SL2 and Krome & Time were brought in for this one and their mixes are absolutely classic (although the tracklists are all pretty similar). Grab em below and get the carpet disco on full throttle.

One of the most underrated hip hop outfits ever, The Goats only released two albums but both were packed with classic tunes that have stood the test of time nicely.
Press play below and bask in the smoked out glory of the album’s opener and then head on over to Soundcloud where you can stream the rest of the album.

Their biggest hit as far as I can remember was the rather ace “Typical American” from their debut and it was a bit of a monster.

A wee wander through Soundcloud uncovered this string quartet version too which is rather nice!
It’s Saturday night and this one’s for all the other dads in the house watching the bairn. Some classic De La Soul from their amazing second album “De La Soul is Dead”.

So it was with interest that I watched this new programme on BBC One. Kevin Bridges: What’s the Story? sees the comedian take a look behind the jokes and explain a little for those less familiar with the Glaswegian dialect etc.
Check a clip below and hop on over to the BBC page to watch the programme itself.
Despite achieving a large amount of success with his hip hop work, Scroobius Pip still keeps his hand in on the ol’ spoken word game and recently delivered this lovely chunk of audio for Radio 4′s “Verse Illustrated“.
