I’m a sucker for a good female vocal and this new single from German duo Me And My Drummer has a rather fantastic one sitting proudly on top of a wee slice of supercharged pop.
The track builds and builds before kind of bursting into a big splash of colour right at the end.
The long and short of it is it’s an ace tune and if you know what’s good for you you’ll be keeping one eye firmly on the duo.
There’s also a video for those of you who prefer that medium.

I’ve covered iFFY’s cracking blend of pop soul a few times already in these pages and while it was single tracks that appeared previously, he’s now set a full 6-track EP free and it’s yours for the price of a mouse click.
The six tracks contained within “Lover By Day, Thief At Night” showcase his great vocal perfectly and wrap it in classic soul production that recalls Motown and Stax whilst also having one eye on the modern world.

The dude’s moustache scares me slightly but his music cannot be questioned.
Bonnie “Prince” Billy is of course a genius and the video for his latest single is filmed entirely in my lovely home town of Glasgow. Mostly in Ashton Lane in the West End but with the occasional trip to the Necropolis and other interesting wee locations.

Right, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love “Loneliness” by Tomcraft? You’d need to be basically dead to not have wee boogie to that one.
Anyway – Thomas Brückner AKA Tomcraft has released a million and one brilliantly chunky slabs of tech and prog house since then and his latest sees him unleash a big bumpy slab of house for Craft Music in the shape of “Get It Played”.

New band Hounds have quickly been gathering attention with their brand of electronic punk, akin to The Prodigy with more guitars. Strangely enough they attracted the attention of Liam Howlett from the Prodge and recently played the mammoth Warriors Dance Festival at his invite.
With Pendulum seemingly focusing on their Knife Party stuff, there’s a gap in the market at the mo for this kinda thang and Hounds are here to fill it.
